Spektrum AR9110 9-Channel DSMX X-Plus Receiver

Spektrum AR9110 9-Channel DSMX X-Plus Receiver

Untitled Document Description:

AR9110 9-Channel DSMX X-Plus Receiver

Key Features

  • Robust power bus designed to manage high-current loads
  • Dual 16AWG battery input leads with EC3™ connectors for use with larger battery packs
  • Includes a soft switch that fails "on"
  • Includes three remote receivers
  • Features SmartSafe™ technology plus preset failsafe
  • Compatible with all Spektrum™ and JR® full-range DSM2® and DSMX® radio systems
  • Can add an optional fourth remote receiver (sold separately)
  • Flight log compatible
  • US patent 7,391,320

Overview

The AR9110 PowerSafe™ receiver is designed for models using multiple servos that draw excess current or multiple high-torque servos, such as giant-scale airplanes and jet models. It features a robust power bus designed to manage high-current loads, as well as dual 16AWG battery input leads with EC3™ connectors for use with larger battery packs. This makes it possible to support high-current systems straight through the AR9110 receiver without the need for a separate power system. As an added measure of safety, the Spektrum brand designed the AR9110 receiver with a soft switch. Servo current is routed around the switch, so, should it fail for any reason, power to the system will not be interrupted.

This unique receiver design contains a main unit which houses the power bus, and it includes 3 remote receivers which come with one of each: 9”, 12” and 24” remote receiver extensions. The dual path redundancy of Spektrum patented DuaLink® technology, plus the fact each of the receivers is mounted in a slightly different location, exposes each to a different view of the RF environment and creates a bulletproof RF link in all conditions. You can add an optional fourth remote receiver (SPM9645—sold separately) to further enhance the receiving capabilities of the system for more complex aircraft.

In addition to Spektrum exclusive SmartSafe™ technology, the AR9110 receiver gives you the option of using standard user preset failsafe settings. It is also compatible with Spektrum optional flight log.

DX18 18-Channel DSMX® Transmitter Gen 2 with AR9020 Receiver

The Spektrum™ AirWare™ software that comes in the DX18 offers all the programming features an expert pilot could want. And the intuitive SimpleScroll™ interface makes navigating menus and changing settings as simple as "roll and click." It's almost like using a mouse.

Many Spektrum AirWare features are innovations you won't find anywhere else; innovations that make flying safer and programming easier.

Programmable Voice Alerts

With voice alerts, you can keep tabs on important functions without ever taking your eyes off what you’re flying. They can be programmed to call out what flight mode you have chosen or report telemetry information on demand. If an alarm goes off, you won’t have to look at the transmitter display to see what’s happening. The transmitter will tell you.

Pro-Class Programming for Sailplanes

In addition to extensive airplane and heli programming, the DX18 has the most impressive sailplane programming features you'll find in any handheld transmitter. Ten available flight modes, 5 wing types, 3 tail types, 2 motor types, flap delay with elevator compensation-it has it all. You even have the ability to adjust individual servo characteristics (end points, travel, center, etc.) for all 18 channels.

Built-In Sequencer

Program a sequence of switch-activated events with time delays between each event. For instance, with a flip of the gear switch you could have an auxiliary channel open landing gear doors, then have the retract channel lower the landing gear, followed by the auxiliary channel closing the gear doors after the gear is extended.

Built-In Servo Balancer

No more will you need a complicated network of little boxes littering your fuselage if you want to balance servos. You can precisely balance the output of swashplate servos or multiple servos on a single control surface with the transmitter using a 7-point curve mix.

Wireless Trainer Link

The wireless trainer link gives instructors the option to wirelessly "buddy box" with another DSM2®†/DSMX® transmitter. Once bound to another transmitter, ModelMatch™ technology will allow the DX18 to re-link without having to go through the bind process again.

† DSM2 not available in EU.

Stay up to date

Register your DX18 transmitter and receive alerts whenever a new AirWare version is available.

Fly Smarter with Built-in Telemetry.

Built-in telemetry gives you real-time information on things like your model's battery voltage, signal quality, engine or motor temperature, airspeed, altitude and more. You can have the DX18 recite this information on demand using the programmable voice alerts. You also have the option of logging telemetry data to the transmitter’s SD card for review after the flight.

A Spektrum TM1000 telemetry module and telemetry sensors (all sold separately) are required. You will find there are Spektrum telemetry sensors for tracking just about any model function you can think of, and new ones are being added all the time.

Superior Ergonomics. Made to Fit the Way You Fly.

The weight distribution and ergonomics of the DX18 have been optimized to fit the way you fly. The result is a sense of balance and comfort that perfectly complements the speed and precision of DSMX technology.

Spektrum AirWare™ Software. Remarkably Easy to Use.

From its beginnings, the people behind Spektrum technology have constantly sought new ways to make the RC experience simpler, safer and, most of all, more fun. The DX9 is proof positive this relentless spirit of innovation lives. on.

Talk Isn't Cheap. It's Priceless.

While the DX9 possesses a number of class-leading features, the centerpiece is its incredibly advanced voice alert system. In fact, with a lexicon of over 300 words, numbers and phrases, it's quite possibly the most advanced system of its kind ever seen (or heard) in a handheld, 9-channel transmitter.

For instance, you can program the DX9 to call out what flight mode has been chosen when switching from one to another. It can also be programmed to call out specific values for voltage, temps, or any other critical telemetry info, on demand. If an alarm goes off, the pilot won't have to look at the display to see what's happening. The DX9 can tell them.

The DX9 comes out of the box with English voice alerts. Other languages are available for download.

Wireless Trainer Link

While the DX9 does have a trainer cord jack, it gives instructors the option to wirelessly "buddy box" with another DSM2®/DSMX® transmitter. Once bound to another transmitter, ModelMatch™ technology will allow the DX9 to re-link without having to go through the bind process again.

Forward Programming*

This innovative software feature will equip you for a new generation of Spektrum components that can be programmed directly through the DX9. This, along with regular Spektrum AirWare™ software updates, will ensure the DX9 remain as cutting-edge tomorrow as it is today.

*Available with DX9 AirWare software version 2.0 and higher.

250 Model Memory

The enormous capacity of the DX9's on-board memory means you will rarely, if ever, need to juggle models between transmitter memory and your SD card. The model memory menu is easier to navigate too. Only memory slots with model settings saved to them will appear. It won't be necessary to scroll through empty slots or move models around if one is deleted.

Instead of a simple tone or vibration, the DX9 voice alert system tells you exactly what you want to know.

Fly Smarter with Built-in Telemetry

The DX9 is equipped with a built-in telemetry feature that gives you real-time information on things like your model's battery voltage, signal quality, engine or motor temperature, airspeed, altitude and more.*

Using the voice alert system, you can have the DX9 call out specific telemetry values that reach or exceed limits you define. You can also have the DX9 call out a sequence of telemetry values on demand with the flip of a switch. If you want to review telemetry after a flight, the DX9 can be set up to record the data to its SD card.
