The Spirit of St. Louis, flown by Charles Lindbergh, made the first solo non-stop transatlantic flight from Long Island, New York, to Paris, France departing on May 20th and arriving on May 21st, 1927. Officially known as the "Ryan NYP" (for New York to Paris), the Spirit of St. Louis was a custom-built, single engine, single-seat monoplane designed by Donald A. Hall of Ryan Airlines. It was named Spirit of St. Louis in honor of Lindbergh's supporters from his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. To save design time, the NYP was loosely based on the company's 1926 Ryan M-2 mail plane with the main difference being the 4,000-mile range of the NYP. As a non-standard design, the government assigned it the registration number N-X-211 (X for "experimental").

More than any other airplane, the Spirit of St. Louis captured the imagination of the country and led to the Golden Age of flight in the US. Due to extremely light wing-loading, the RageTM Spirit of St. Louis provides smooth, yet capable flight performance (either indoors or outdoors in light winds) that's ideal for sport or expert pilots. Experience the nostalgia of the original with scale features that include a highly-detailed scale 9-cylinder Wright Whirlwind dummy engine, a full-airfoil wing design with rib details and fuel tank vents, detailed scale landing gear and struts, and even the official name - "Ryan NYP", and registration number N-X-211 in realistic scale water slide graphics on the tail.

The Spirit of St. Louis comes fully assembled as a RTF (Ready-To-Fly), so everything needed to fly comes included in the box. In addition to the scale airframe with the installed 3-in-1 control board, you get a 2.4GHz transmitter that conveniently charges the included 1S 150mAh LiPo battery. Even the AA batteries needed to power up the transmitter are included, so you can be making your maiden flight on this amazingly detailed, historic airplane within minutes of opening the box!

Understanding the receiver

Setup Instruction

Note: It is highly recommend user to enable FailSafe. Some copters' controller does not have fail-safe system implemented. At the case where the quad copter has flown very far away from the transmitter (eg. 2 km away from transmitter for Aerial photography application), RF signal may have faded due to far distance. FailSafe allows the receiver to output default signal when signal is lost to keep the quad copter flying until signal is recovered again.

Binding Setup

  1. Plug bind plug to the receiver.
  2. Provide power to the unit. LED flashes quickly.
  3. Enable bind mode in transmitter and ensure distance separation of 2 meters from receiver. Solid LED light means binding is completed.
  4. Remove bind plug.

Setting Failsafe

  1. Start by binding the receiver to the transmitter in the normal way and proceed as follows to set failsafe
  2. Ensure that transmitter and receiver are turned on.
  3. Insert bind plug into the receiver (Note: to set failsafe, bind plug is applied only when the receiver is turned on).
  4. Set transmitter controls to the desired failsafe positions.
  5. Press the side pushbutton to memorize failsafe settings.
  6. Observe that the green light at the end of the receiver turns on to indicate failsafe is set. (Repeat step 4 will cause the LED to turn off which means failsafe is disabled).
  7. Remove bind plug.
  8. Disconnect the power for at least 2 seconds and then reconnect the power again. Test failsafe by turning off the transmitter.

Pulse Sequence

The PPM pulse sequence is in the following order:

  1. Throttle
  2. Aileron
  3. Elevator
  4. Rudder
  5. Gear
  6. Aux1
  7. Aux2
  8. Aux3

30cc Slick 540 Re-Design Orange

Description: The Slick 540 was designed with input from aerobatic expert, Glen Dell. This 30cc version of the Slick 540 was built with those expert modifications in mind. The 30cc Slick 540 has moved much of its weight near the center of gravity, helping to make high energy maneuvers cleaner and more comfortable. This 30cc Slick is suited for both 3D and pattern flight. Showing both very smooth lines, but also slowing down well for 3D flight. The Slick 540 does most of your typical maneuvers very well: clean knife edges, exceptionally smooth rolling harries, and does SNAP maneuvers SO cleanly due to its weight distribution. With the bold contrasting scheme of this 30cc Slick 540, you will have great visibility even from a distance. Hurry and get your 30cc Slick before we run out! Fourtitude Single Tank Mounting Trays 8oz

Makes mounting a single fuel tank or smoke tank much easier and stronger than with velcro straps alone. This tray design captures the neck of the tank for an exceptionally strong mounting solution. Works really well in warbirds and narrow fuselages where the installation is difficult to access. The tray is CNC cut from .125” (3mm) thick Birch plywood that assembles in minutes.
