The Commander 4S SBEC series ESC(V3) operates from 6 to 17V. It features switching BEC will convert the voltage from your battery packs to 5V to power your receiver and servos. The Commander SBEC will deliver 3 Amps of continuous current with 5 Amps bursts. And can handle up to 4 digital servos or 5 standard servos on fix wing models. With a Switching type BEC, the BEC is not needed to de-rate as the input voltage increases. The full 3 Amps of BEC current is available for input between 2-cell to 4-cell Lipo operation.

The full-featured IR Programming Card allows the user to set the following parameters:

Low Voltage Cut-off (5V to 13.5V at 0.5V increments) no need to select battery type just set the voltage the ESC should work on, by doing this, the ESC will be compatible with any future type of battery designs.

LVC= LOW VOLTAGE CUT: 050 (5V) TO 138(13.8V)

BRK= BRAKE SETTING: 1: NO BRAKE, * 2: VERY SOFT BRAKE, 3: SOFT BRAKE, 4: HARD BRAKE, 5: VERY HARD BRAKE

Understanding the receiver

 

Setup Instruction

Binding

  1. Plug bind plug to the receiver.
  2. Provide power to the unit. LED flashes quickly.
  3. Enable bind mode in transmitter and ensure distance separation of 2 meters from receiver. Solid LED light means binding is completed.
  4. Remove bind plug.

Setting Failsafe

  1. Start by binding the receiver to the transmitter in the normal way and proceed as follows to set failsafe
  2. Ensure that transmitter and receiver are turned on.
  3. Insert bind plug into the receiver (Note: to set failsafe, bind plug is applied only when the receiver is turned on).
  4. Set transmitter controls to the desired failsafe positions.
  5. Press the side pushbutton to memorize failsafe settings.
  6. Observe that the green light at the end of the receiver turns on to indicate failsafe is set. (Repeat step 4 will cause the LED to turn off which means failsafe is disabled).
  7. Remove bind plug.
  8. Disconnect the power for at least 2 seconds and then reconnect the power again. Test failsafe by turning off the transmitter.
