The Tempest 600 X4 takes all the features from the original Tempest and adds a separate aileron servo for 4-channel control that makes it a more capable flyer. So now, it's not only a relaxing, fun flying airplane that can help beginners learn to fly, it's also a capable 4-channel airplane that experienced pilots will appreciate. The Tempest 600 X4 is manufactured from durable EPP foam for extra durability and the pusher style power system offers an additional level of safety and nearly eliminates broken props. As with nearly all Rage RC planes, the X4 features the PASS (Pilot Assist Stability Software) system which allows the performance envelope of the airplane to expand as your flying skills advance. In Full or Partial Assist Mode with PASS, if you ever lose control, simply release the control sticks and this Tempest will quickly return to level flight. For extra flying fun, just a press of the Stunt button on the transmitter will automatically enable the airplane to complete either a loop or roll that will impress your friends at the field!

The Tempest 600 X4 features an updated brightly printed trim scheme for great visibility in the air with everything needed to start flying in the box; including a 2.4GHz standard size 4-channel transmitter, a pre-installed electronics system, a convenient USB charger, and two powerful 3.7V 400mAh LiPo batteries for extra-long flight times of up to 20 minutes. Even four AA batteries for the transmitter are included, so you'll be flying the Tempest X4 around your local park or flying field within minutes of opening the box!

Understanding the receiver

 

Setup Instruction

Binding

  1. Plug bind plug to the receiver.
  2. Provide power to the unit. LED flashes quickly.
  3. Enable bind mode in transmitter and ensure distance separation of 2 meters from receiver. Solid LED light means binding is completed.
  4. Remove bind plug.

Setting Failsafe

  1. Start by binding the receiver to the transmitter in the normal way and proceed as follows to set failsafe
  2. Ensure that transmitter and receiver are turned on.
  3. Insert bind plug into the receiver (Note: to set failsafe, bind plug is applied only when the receiver is turned on).
  4. Set transmitter controls to the desired failsafe positions.
  5. Press the side pushbutton to memorize failsafe settings.
  6. Observe that the green light at the end of the receiver turns on to indicate failsafe is set. (Repeat step 4 will cause the LED to turn off which means failsafe is disabled).
  7. Remove bind plug.
  8. Disconnect the power for at least 2 seconds and then reconnect the power again. Test failsafe by turning off the transmitter.
