The Swift EDF Sport Glider is a high-performance electric glider with curved winglets for maximum gliding stability and high-efficiency  With its elegant wings and flowing fuselage lines it responds superbly to thermals. When required, the efficient 3850kv brushless motor powered with a 60A speed controller deliver an abundance of propulsive power to the 65mm EDF with 11 blades achieving a top speed of 160 Km/h. The Swift is very easy to assemble with removable wings and tail halves for easy transport.  Built-in carbon fiber tubes and rods in the fuselage and wings provide strength so the glider can withstand high speed flights.

The planes docile flying characteristics and excellent performance in the air ensure that the Swift provides maximum flying pleasure, whether you are a weekend pilot or an 'old hand'. You can enjoy floating through the air for long periods, as well as lively aerobatics - all with style and precision. The removable canopy provides access to the super size battery hatch capable of easily storing large 4S batteries.

The Swift features a flying horizontal stabilizer with hidden pushrod design which acts as the elevator for authoritive ascent and descent control.  Designed with its extremely stiff spar technology sets entirely new standards in the 1M+ wing span class. The ailerons are a wide and long feature, making pin-point landings easy while also improving the launch characteristics and giving the pilot a broad performance spectrum for high speed, aerobatics and thermalling.

Understanding the receiver

 

Setup Instruction

Binding

  1. Plug bind plug to the receiver.
  2. Provide power to the unit. LED flashes quickly.
  3. Enable bind mode in transmitter and ensure distance separation of 2 meters from receiver. Solid LED light means binding is completed.
  4. Remove bind plug.

Setting Failsafe

  1. Start by binding the receiver to the transmitter in the normal way and proceed as follows to set failsafe
  2. Ensure that transmitter and receiver are turned on.
  3. Insert bind plug into the receiver (Note: to set failsafe, bind plug is applied only when the receiver is turned on).
  4. Set transmitter controls to the desired failsafe positions.
  5. Press the side pushbutton to memorize failsafe settings.
  6. Observe that the green light at the end of the receiver turns on to indicate failsafe is set. (Repeat step 4 will cause the LED to turn off which means failsafe is disabled).
  7. Remove bind plug.
  8. Disconnect the power for at least 2 seconds and then reconnect the power again. Test failsafe by turning off the transmitter.
