Thousands of models have already been balanced, adjusted and optimized using the GliderCGs currently on the market. Pilots asked for a scale that can be used to weigh all models from small to large and accomodate landing gear. Now being introduced is the GliderCG Scale Mini, which is almost like a jack-of-all-trades. Like the larger scale versions, the mini scale also consist of a stable aluminum frame, can accommodate models with landing gear chassis and displays the data via WiFi. The weight range is from 0.22lbs (100g) to 55lbs (25kg). Fuselage widths and depths of up to 9.8 in (250 mm) are possible. The wing surface depth is also secondary, as the rear support point is designed to be adjustable. This means that all models can be weighed equally, ranging from small throwing gliders to Giant scale birds.

The Mini scale is also equipped with a folding mechanism, so the scale can be easily stored away when not in use. But that's not all! The scale has a simple touch button to switch it on and the charging closure is also designed as USB-C, making it even more robust.

GliderCG Scale Mini is the latest variation designed to minimize the size, while incorporating new functionalities such as folding arms, charging through a USB-C port and redesigning the electronics to incorporate a tactile power button.

GliderCG Mini supports fuselages up to 9.8" x 9.8" in diameter and up to 55 lbs with landing gear.

Understanding the receiver

 

Setup Instruction

Binding

  1. Plug bind plug to the receiver.
  2. Provide power to the unit. LED flashes quickly.
  3. Enable bind mode in transmitter and ensure distance separation of 2 meters from receiver. Solid LED light means binding is completed.
  4. Remove bind plug.

Setting Failsafe

  1. Start by binding the receiver to the transmitter in the normal way and proceed as follows to set failsafe
  2. Ensure that transmitter and receiver are turned on.
  3. Insert bind plug into the receiver (Note: to set failsafe, bind plug is applied only when the receiver is turned on).
  4. Set transmitter controls to the desired failsafe positions.
  5. Press the side pushbutton to memorize failsafe settings.
  6. Observe that the green light at the end of the receiver turns on to indicate failsafe is set. (Repeat step 4 will cause the LED to turn off which means failsafe is disabled).
  7. Remove bind plug.
  8. Disconnect the power for at least 2 seconds and then reconnect the power again. Test failsafe by turning off the transmitter.
